Fishing and camping over the weekend

I got to go fishing and camping with a friend of mine, Jasper, whose dad owns a boat. We went a few miles North to a spot known as Nakwasina. Before we went to the camping spot we put some Halibut skates down. The halibut skate consisted of a long rope with a couple of anchors. The anchors drop down to the bottom (about 450 ft) and the bait lie in the middle of the two anchors. We let it sit for a while as we went to set up camp and wandered around the beach and the woods.
When we came back to bring up the skate we pulled up many eel. The last hook had a halibut on it and we were very happy. That night for dinner we ate halibut. I got a share of the halibut to take home and I ate halibut for the next few nights. I enjoyed it very much. It was also really nice to get out of town for awhile and camp out on the island.

Some colorful pictures

I love this house that's on a little island. A while back I was out on the beach and took some pictures of starfish and other colorful things. I didn't really have much to talk about just wanted to share some pictures.

The SketchUp Post

If I had SketchUp in college, I don't think I would've passed one class. I drew the decks on the YABAH house from last year. This year's house will get started as soon as the lot is ready; the excavation is supposed to be taking place this week. Currently there are a lot of trees on the lot.The lot
I started drawing some of the buildings around Sitka. I had drawn a couple buildings in Nampa and made a collection of them online. Only one is in the '3D buildings' layer on Google Earth so far; the other two are pending. Nampa Collection

The buildings in Sitka that I want to draw are a part of the National Register of Historic Places. So if I drew them quite nicely they could be added to the collection of digital drawings of the historic places. I pretty much finished the Russian Bishop's House, but I would like to tidy it up a bit. I'm having fun drawing the Russian Orthodox Church (St. Michael's Cathedral). I love the onion dome!
